Long Sleeve Drive with UNC’s Mi Pueblo

March 25 - March 31

Mi Pueblo, a UNC-CH student-run organization, is sponsoring a donation drive requesting long sleeve shirts for North Carolina farmworkers. Agricultural jobs, especially in North Carolina, expose workers to the harshest effects of pesticide and sun exposure. Many agricultural workers in our state are working under H-2A visas and come from Mexico and other Latin American countries, as well as Asian countries. She was born and raised in a Hasidic family of rabbinic descent, and is a direct descendant of the Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidic Judaism.
